A homeless man has been charged with attempting to murder a father-of-five.
Clifford Williams, of Bexhill Road, Eastbourne, is still in a critical condition after an incident outside a florist's shop in Seaford Road, Eastbourne, on April 4.
The 53-year-old suffered serious head injuries and needed emergency treatment at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
Ian Punyer, 35, will appear at Lewes Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on April 18.
