Thieves broke into a disabled man's flat, stole his wheelchair then dumped it in a nearby lake.
The burglary at a block of flats in Hendon Avenue, off Rustington seafront, happened early yesterday.
Burglars smashed the reinforced glass in the entry door to get in, then made off with the wheelchair.
They wrenched off its arms and dumped it in the boating lake at Mewsbrook Park.
The victim, a man in his 60s, is unable to walk.
