A man appeared in court at Brighton accused of causing an explosion at the home he shared with his wife.
Timothy Gallagher, 47, is charged with arson and damaging a spare bedroom at the house in Lustrells Vale, Saltdean, on March 28 and recklessly endangering her life.
Gallagher, living in Castle Square, Brighton, was remanded on bail until April 12.
