A 53-year-old man who admitted sexually molesting a teenage boy has been jailed for a year.
Stuart Anderson, of the Brow, Woodingdean, Brighton, pleaded guilty to three charges relating to attacks on the 15-year-old.
Giles Curtis-Rayleigh, prosecuting, said after the attack the boy pointed out Anderson's house, where the assaults took place.
Anderson's barrister Clemency Firth told Lewes Crown Court that the crimes had been "opportunistic and spontaneous", adding that her client was not a predator.
She said Anderson, who has no previous convictions, had been placed on segregation in prison awaiting sentence and had found the experience terrifying.
Judge Richard Brown sentenced Anderson to 12 months' jail and ordered him to sign the sex offenders register on his release.
Judge Brown said: "It was not until the morning of the hearing that the boy knew he would not have to give evidence.
"You sexually assaulted a vulnerable 15-year-old boy. Such children are entitled to protection."
