The Argus, over the years, has done a great service to all kinds of people.

Now we disabled drivers are asking for its support in relation to the continued abuse of disabled parking bays. The police cannot or will not take an interest.

These bays, both in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas, are continually used by persons without an orange or blue badge.

If we bona fide users say anything to them, we are very often subject to foul language.

Recently, for example, in the Queen's Park area, Brighton and Hove City Council has been very good in providing such bays in the main roads and side roads - some at special request - but, as soon as we disabled drivers move out, just about everyone and anyone pulls in and refuses to take action to remove their car when we return.

We prefer to remain anonymous, because we have suffered continued abuse from the day our bay was allocated.

Such bays are for badge holders only. Believe me, if others needed a badge, they would realise how miserable life can be. We would all rather be fully fit.
