The interactive media sensation of last year, Big Brother, is due back at the end of spring and the web site will once again be produced by a Brighton-based firm.

Victoria Real has announced it has won the contract to design and build the new site which will have more interactive content than last year, including online voting and a wider range of games.

Jason George, the company's creative director, said: "It's fantastic that the revival of Europe's most popular web site will be happening here in Brighton. It was the biggest and the best site of its kind and we will be making the next one even better."

GATWICK JOBS INITIATIVE Brighton-based Newsquest Digital Media has produced a web site to support an initiative to boost recruitment at Gatwick.

Air transport at Gatwick is growing steadily at five per cent a year and, by 2008, more than 40 million passengers a year are expected to pass through the airport. Staff numbers are set to rise from 28,000 at present to 35,000 to cater for the extra customers.

Airport owner BAA, Sussex Enterprise and employers based at Gatwick have joined forces to keep up with this rapid growth by setting up a recruitment project, Gatwork.

The web site promotes Gatwork's activities and provides information to a wider audience about the job options at the airport.

Brighton-based costume supervisor, Andrew Cox, with more than ten years in films and television, became frustrated at the lack of support for production crews seeking work and decided to set up filmunit-e to help people find useful career information.

Working with Wicked Web Design, of Brighton, Andrew developed the site featuring news of forthcoming productions, job vacancies, location accommodation for rent and a directory of industry-related services.

The web site was launched at the weekend.

Video gets online outlet A Crawley-based virtual shopping retailer has bucked the dot.com trend and expanded its e-commerce services.

Streets Online is adding a new site to its portfolio of sales outlets with the launch of VideoStreet.co.uk.

The video sales site is the fifth virtual store set up by the company, which already sells DVDs, CDs, books and games online.

The decision to open a site devoted to VHS came after a survey of Streets Online customers found 70 per cent wanted the option to purchase videos from the firm.

The new site carries more than 14,000 titles.

Stephen Cole, founder of Streets Online, said: "Millions of homes still have video recorders and it's likely to be some time before the majority are usurped by a DVD player."
