Police bloodhounds found a man's body in a stream in Sussex.

Sussex Police, searching for a 30-year-old missing man, asked Essex Police to bring in their specially-trained sniffer dogs to help search Roffey Park, Crawley.

The hounds led handlers to the stream on Wednesday night and yesterday morning officers recovered a man's body.

Michael Finch, of Bewbush, Crawley, disappeared while out walking his German shepherd dog on Tuesday and some of his outer clothes were found in Roffey Park.

Police today confirmed the body is that of Mr Finch who was known to be depressed. He had last been seen at 7pm on Tuesday in Honeysuckle Walk in the Roffey area of Horsham.

Fears for his safety rose when his German shepherd dog Zak, whom he had been out walking, was found on his own.

A force spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances.
