Regarding building on land near Brighton station, a few years ago in Sydney, Australia, I was taken to a shopping area on three floors.

On the top, an Olympic ice rink was erected with an area for fast-food restaurants and toilets.

This circular building had lifts to all floors and car parks on the ground level.

Surely this must answer the space problem, plus late night shopping, for people returning home by rail to Brighton.

I think an ice rink would help young people to keep occupied in the evenings and be a very healthy activity.
