When truly visionary plans are proposed, like the ones for Shoreham Harbour, local councillors are really tested.
Can they rise to that vision, set aside parochial self-interest and petty party politics and turn that vision into benefits for the whole area (including their own)?
Sadly, Adur Tories have proved they cannot, as Councillor Funnel (Argus, January 12) shows.
Even a tortoise knows you cannot make progress without sticking your neck out!
