I am writing about the problem of parking in Woburn Place and Chepstow Court at the bottom of Coldean Lane in Brighton.
It is a small road with very limited parking.
Each resident in Chepstow Court (approximately 12) has an allotted numbered parking bay, whereas residents in Woburn Place (approximately 40) have to park where they can.
Apparently residents in Chepstow Court pay rent for the use of their parking bays.
There are at least four bays which are not used and I fail to see why someone would pay rent for something that they do not use and also refuse to let someone else do so.
Surely this parking system should be changed to be fair to all residents and not just the chosen few?
