I am sure I am not alone in feeling apoplectic over the insane traffic system operating in North Street and Western Road.
I once suggested to a bus driver that a one-way system around Kingsway, North Street and Western Road would ease congestion.
From, one sensed, a depth of experience and cynicism he replied: "Too simple. They wouldn't accept any system that didn't cost £5 million to install and wouldn't work."
