Two men have been remanded in custody until Thursday accused of aggravated burglary at the home of a 92-year-old.
Michael Hall, 24, from Bracklesham Bay, and Robert Benham, 43, from Selsey, appeared at Chichester Magistrates Court charged with the burglary at Almodington, near Chichester.
The elderly victim suffered serious facial injuries during the incident.
