Congratulations to primary schools in Brighton and Hove which have bettered their results for the fourth year in a row.
Government figures show the education authority has the most improved results outside London and the increases are the fourth best in the country.
Solid hard work and some imaginative ventures to make children interested have contributed towards the improvements in English, maths and science.
But there's no room for complacency in Brighton and Hove because they started from such a low base.
Further consistent improvements in these basic subjects in the years ahead are needed to make every parent proud of primary education in the towns.
