Yet another tragedy on our local beach (November 27). As an all-year-round swimmer I have come up against perils of stormy seas, the huge weight of waves, the undertow when receding and steep inclines of beaches hidden by water that are difficult to negotiate when coming out.
People should be officially warned about playing tag with waves in stormy weather. I myself warned a couple with two toddlers near the waterline on Albion beach in storms and promptly got told off by the parents.
