It never ceases to amaze me that we can live in the same world, even the same tiny part of it, and yet see things through such different eyes. B. Taylor (November 15) expresses the view that we have nothing in Hove.
I on the other hand hardly feel the need to go anywhere else to find what I need.
I love George Street and I think the charity shops are great fun. There are a wide variety of stores for all tastes and ages.
In fact it almost seems that when one shop closes another opens almost overnight.
Apart from George Street, we have Church Road and Portland Road which offer a further selection of interesting shops and services, as well as a library, the King Alfred, Hove Museum and the Connaught Adult Education Centre, to entertain those who have the time and the inclination.
I suggest B. Taylor should take another look at Hove. It would seem that death is in the eye of the beholder.
