I agree with what Jakki Phillips said in her review of Tom Jones when he played at the Brighton Centre last week.
He is a superb showman and performer, there is no mistaking that. However, there is some information missing in your review, with regard to the dancing side of things.
Jakki said, "He went for the kill with What's New Pussycat. The result was as though someone had pushed the ejector button and propelled everyone out of their seats."
Have you considered why? Maybe it was because security were under strict instructions to ensure that nobody was allowed to dance.
I asked why that was so and was informed that it was a request from the performing artist.
I was bitterly disappointed with the concert as you don't pay £28.00 a ticket to be chastised for letting yourself go.
I won't be wasting my money on Tom Jones again.
