Two men and two teenage girls walked away from this horrific looking crash with just cuts and bruises.

The car they were in was turned into a mess of scrap metal after the collision with a crash barrier last night.

The Peugeot 205, heading north on the A23 Brighton-London road, took a slip road to Hurstpierpoint at about 11pm.

Police said the car went across a T-junction and ran into a barrier on the opposite side of the road.

The vehicle was wrecked but all four passengers - two men from Brighton aged 20 and 19, and two girls from Lancing, aged 16 and 17 - climbed out with only minor injuries.

They were taken by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.
