Q: I use MS Outlook 2000 for my emails. Can I add a standard 'footer' to my mail so I don't have to re-write the details every time?

A: This is known as a 'signature' file. To create a new signature, click the Inbox icon in the Outlook Shortcuts window. Select Options from the Tools menu, select the Mail Format tab then click the Signature Picker button. A new window appears, click the 'New' button and another window appears. Enter a name for the signature (I use 'SignOff') and click Next. Another window! Enter the text you would like to add to your emails, then click Finish and click OK. If you would like the signature to be added automatically, select it from the drop down list.

Q: Is it safe to use credit card to buy from the internet?

A: The short answer is yes but there are always risks. If done carefully these risks, in my opinion, are far less than everyday use of your credit card. It may be a good idea to have an additional credit card and some companies offer free insurance against online credit card fraud. Secondly, when you are presented with a payment screen, always make sure that the browser is in 'Secure' mode, this is indicated by a little closed padlock symbol displayed in the bottom right hand corner of your browser.
