A newly-launched "queer- friendly" web portal features Brighton.
www.queercompany.com has been launched to help gay men and lesbian women find services and information sympathetic to their needs.
It also includes travel and hotel information for popular city break destinations, film, theatre and restaurant reviews, news and lifestyle features.
Henrietta Morrison, co-founder and joint chief executive of Queercompany, said:
"The company has grown because there is a significant gap in the market and the need to create quality products and services for queer customers, who have been traditionally badly served."
Another important aspect of www.queercompany.com is its links to mortgage and financial institutions with tailor-made packages for gay people.
Dominic Richards, also a co-founder and joint chief executive of Queercompany, said: "Research has shown that queer consumers are regarded as having high disposable incomes. Yet despite this, in financial services, insurances and holidays, same-sex partners are discriminated against."
