Police have issued a photofit to help catch a burglar who terrified a woman.
The man jumped from a first floor window of a house at Otford Close, Crawley and landed on resident Anne Fell, 60.
The panic-stricken thief leapt for freedom from an upstairs window after hearing her husband Derek arrive.
Her husband Derek, 61, grappled with the intruder and chased him but he escaped from their home with jewellery worth about £1,000.
Anne is recovering from whiplash injuries.
Police believe the burglar to be about 20, and describe him as slim, 6ft tall, with mousy coloured short hair.
The stolen jewellery included a metal collage ring with a round ruby stone, lockets, a clock-shapebracelet charm, and pairs of earrings.
Detective Constable Kevin Parker said: "Much of the property taken could easily be recognised if it was offered for sale."
