What shade of green is Councillor Pete West? Just because the Withdean ground is called a stadium, Coun West seems to think it is a suitable venue for the 2004 Olympics!
It is clear some councillors have no grasp of commercial viability and these people are the bottom line when making critical decisions on the future of major issues such as this. However, when considering the Green Party's track record, just look at the Brighton Station site and the length of time it has taken to make positive steps towards the regeneration of a major town centre eyesore.
It was claimed there is a natural green corridor running through the site, whereas in fact the only living organisms are thistles and drug dealers!
Falmer is an ideal location for the Albion, who will obviously not be building a stadium if ultimately there are no funds available. But this is not a planning issue and hence irrelevant at this stage.
