Anna Friel braved gale-force winds to shoot scenes for her latest movie, Me Without You, on Brighton seafront.
The former Brookside actress braved force eight gales to film the scenes with Dawson's Creek star Michelle Williams.
Anna, 24, spent two hours shooting the scenes, dressed in a pink bodice and long leopard-print jacket.
In the scenes Anna larks around on the seafront, giggling, running and jumping on the promenade.
The British movie, expected to be screened next year, tells the story of two friends at Sussex University in the Eighties.
A source on the set said: "There was not much chance of Anna going out when the weather was at its worst.
"After the rain had cleared up and the winds had dropped she went out to shoot some scenes. But the weather was still pretty awful and she didn't seem too happy about it."
Anna, who starred in the Broadway production of Closer last year, was brought cups of tea to warm her up on set.
Filming in Brighton finished last week after crews spent two days on the seafront.
Other scenes are to be shot in London and the Isle of Man.
