Children at St Bartholomew's School in Brighton town centre have not had much room for play in recent years.

They've been confined to cramped corners of the tiny site just off the busy London Road.

But now Brighton and Hove Council has spent £24,000 on providing playground space on top of the nearby London Road car park.

The kids have plenty of room to enjoy the fairly fresh air of this part of Brighton.

The only disadvantage is they can't play ball games for fear of hurting people below.

But that's a small price to pay for their new-found freedom.
