A MAN found hurt in a crashed car refused to be treated but was later rushed to hospital in a serious condition.
The accident happened in Saltmarsh Lane, Hailsham, at about 2.25am on Sunday, when a Citroen BX was found lying on its side by the road.
A man thought to be in his twenties was found inside but he refused to go to hospital and was picked up by friends.
However, he was later taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital, then rushed to King's College Hospital in London with serious head and chest injuries.
