At the end of the war, Britain was bankrupt and owed large amounts of money. We are now classed as a rich nation, but still have a huge national debt.

Is it not prudent to get out of debt ourselves before handing out more millions? The latest is flooding in India, but floods and typhoons happen regularly there, so why do their governments not put aside funds for such catastrophes?

Both India and Pakistan can find millions of rupees for H-bombs to threaten each other and the stability of the area.
