The recent Argus coverage of the Essential Music Festival in Stanmer Park failed to mention the mess left behind after the event.
When I arrived for work at the university next to the park on the Monday morning, I found it difficult to make my way through the underpass from Falmer station because of the amount of broken glass there.
On emerging at the other side, towards the park as far as I could see was a vista of filth - bottles and litter all over the grass. I have never before seen such a disgusting aftermath to a public event.
