Please tell me what is the point of closing the Palmeira Project down? All the children who live there permanently or just temporarily need Palmeira. I can give you a number of reasons against the closure:

1. It would be unsettling to the residents.

2. All of the staff would become redundant.

3. Having such a great place for disabled children to live is brilliant and if you close Palmeira it would be disgraceful.

4. The staff are all so nice and friendly.

So why close down such a wonderful place for disabled children to live? There are not enough as it is. This is the beginning of Palmeira's life; you don't want to give it an early retirement, do you? You are meant to help people not mess up their lives!

My sister moved to Palmeira a while ago, her roots are here now, she has settled down and is so happy, probably the happiest I have ever seen her. I really don't want this good part of her life to be messed up. If you face the problem up front, then it'll be sorted. Can't you just see the damage that you'll do if you close Palmeira? Give the extra funding to the project and watch the results.

The large smile on Anna's face is like a ray of sunshine. It will be permanent if Palmeira stays as it is, but fade away if Palmeira closes.

Wait and see for the damage to occur.
