Three cheers for Roger Boniface (Letters, May 27). It's nice to know someone else remembers what the Tory government did to this country. And as Ray Wootton seems to think we should all forgive and forget, please allow me to enlarge on the five points made by Roger.

The Tories sold off all our utilities - British Rail, water, electricity, gas and telephones - at a loss. Then they said: "Don't worry, North Sea oil will be our saviour and revive the economy". But they still left the country practically bankrupt!
