Albion have set their sights on snatching a play-off place after stretching their unbeaten run.

Skipper Paul Rogers, two-goal hero of Saturday's 3-1 win at Lincoln, revealed: "We are certainly looking at the play-offs. The gaffer set us a target a few weeks ago of staying unbeaten after we lost at Northampton.

"It's going quite well at the moment. We are scoring a few goals and playing some decent football. If we can keep the run going it's definitely on. There are a lot of teams above us who are going to have to slip up, but that's what we are striving for."

Rogers' brace of headers in the second half, both from Paul Watson corners, took his tally for the season to nine from midfield. Leading marksman Darren Freeman also opened the scoring from a Watson corner and Albion have now won four games out of five and drawn the other.

Manager Micky Adams said: "It was a terrific result. Lincoln had been on an unbeaten eight-match run, so it was no mean feat. Paul Rogers has his critics, but I have never been one of those. He does a terrific job for the team and I am pleased for him.

"We are on a high, but I don't want people to get carried away. I am just pleased we are at long last showing what we are capable of. I keep saying our season is far from finished. Let's hope I am saying that for the next five weeks."

Albion remain 15th, seven points off a play-off place, ahead of tomorrow night's home game against Macclesfield, when Rogers leads the side on his 35th birthday and Gary Hart is available again after suspension.

"It's an old cliche I know, but we are taking each game as it comes," Rogers added. "We have got to build on this now against Macclesfield."
