Staff at a building society watched helplessly as three men jumped over the counter and stole a large sum of cash.
The robbery occurred at the Portman Building Society in North Road, Lancing, yesterday afternoon.
The three men entered the premises at around 2pm and helped themselves to a "substantial" sum of money from cashier drawers behind the counter.
The trio then fled and were seen getting into a green Fiat Bravo in North Farm Road.
The men were all in their twenties and two were black and one white. One raider wore a yellow top with white stripes and the other two men both had hats on.
