A head-on collision between two lorries during rush hour left a road closed for more than three hours.
The two HGVs were in collision on the A22 at Whitesmith, between Golden Cross and East Hoathly, just before 8am this morning.
The lorries were both badly damaged at the front but the drivers escaped serious injury.Police, fire crews, ambulances and the police helicopter attend-ed and diversions were put in place for three hours while
the lorries were moved to safety.
