ALBION captain Ian Culverhouse makes the switch from player to coach tonight.
The Seagulls' sweeper takes charge of the reserves for the first time against Charlton at Worthing (7.0).
Culverhouse, 34, said: "It's a good opportunity and I am looking forward to it. The reserves should be up for it after our performance at Southend on Saturday."
The reserves line-up includes two new trialists. Former Portsmouth and Doncaster midfielder Stuart Doling has been training with the Seagulls for the past week, while Dwayne Minors is a speedy 20-year-old striker released by Charlton.
Ex-Albion favourite Ian Chapman, sidelined for 16 months by a serious knee injury, continues his quest for full match fitness in the sweeper role he has adopted for the last two Combination games.
Manager Jeff Wood has the option of playing Michael Bennett or Andy Arnott in that position against Leyton Orient on Saturday, when Culverhouse is suspended.
Albion reserves: Ormerod; Ansah, Smith, Chapman, Hobson, Mills, Doling, Browne, Ryan, Moralee, Minors.
