POLICE are searching for a gang who raided a Hove store and stole £900 from a safe while a member of staff was distracted.

Two women and a man, all in their late twenties, walked into Cullens in Church Road on Sunday afternoon and asked a member of staff to change a £20 note. The sales assistant was followed into the office and was distracted while the safe was opened.

Staff did not realise any cash had been stolen until after the three had left. The two women were both dressed in Middle Eastern clothes and were wearing headscarves. One was heavily pregnant.

The man was 6ft with short black hair and a beard.
