The bombs in London were an awful tragedy with far-reaching effects, yet, along the South Coast, the air of fear was dispelled by an incredible police presence.
As I travelled by train from Chichester to Worthing, there were police officers at every station.
My daughter, who was unnerved by the whole thing, found their presence reassuring. Thank you, Sussex Police.
