I strongly object to the development of a recycling plant at Hollingdean Lane.

Do we have any examples of other authorities putting a recycling site in an inner-city location?

Being constrained by the coast, Brighton has transport issues because the road network cannot radiate in all directions, which causes an extra overload.

We are already a well-recognised, traffic-congested city, which this plant will add to.

Housing and land earmarked for it is limited. Isn't this location a prime site for new housing rather than choking up our city with additional industrial buildings and traffic?

What irony to pollute and destroy the environment in an effort to recycle.

Hollingdean is an easy solution but a bad long-term one, beside

a school and in the middle of residential areas and the city.

The council needs to think bigger and longer term.

For all our sakes, think again.
