This picturesque botanical chalk garden decorated with lakes and streams is transformed into the Forest of Arden in Shakespeare's evergreen comedy about the nature of love.
There are tales of liberty and banishment, anguished lovers, passionate shepherds, jealous uncles and brothers and, of course, plenty of high jinks and cross-dressing, ending in a dancing, singing finale.
The Rainbow Shakespeare company has been working with schools for 20 years and has provided Worthing with an annual outdoor production for nine years.
The al fresco setting adds a magical dimension to the Bard's play and the group goes to town creating lantern-lit paths to the performance area.
Audiences are encouraged to bring a picnic and rugs to enjoy an evening under the stars.
The company, which also stages Hamlet until Sunday, specialises in making Shakespeare accessible for all ages.
"We want to make the funny bits funny and the exciting bits exciting," says director Nick Young.
"And tell the tale in a way that does justice to Shakespeare, who knows how to tell a good story."
Starts 7.30pm, tickets cost £11/£5. Call 01903 206206.
