Known for a remarkable larynx which weaves sweetly through soporific, psychedelic tones, Chungking chanteuse Jessie Banks made quite a stir at this year's Glastonbury.
During a much needed chillout break ambient superstars Royksopp invited Jessie, who is supporting the Norwegian band's upcoming tour with Chungking, up onto the stage with them to sing a few ethereal numbers to an excited crowd.
The Brighton-based band are named after Chungking Express, a film about the love lives of customers at a Hong Kong snack bar. They specialise in heartfelt and emotional music, which is authentically worded, passionately sung and bitter-sweet, picking up Zero 7's legacy of lounge sound.
They released first album, We Travel Fast, in 2003 and followed it up with last year's successful The Hungry Years. Their third album is in the process of being mixed and had its first live airing in the Spiegeltent in May.
