I would like to thank Broadwater Carnival Society committee members for all their hard work throughout the year and to thank sponsors and those who took part in the carnival, held on Saturday, July 23.
An especially big thank you goes to all the people who came and supported us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Having Broadwater Green for part of the day allowed us to make the carnival a village affair this year and we hope to use it again next year.
If we can negotiate with the cricket club and Worthing Borough Council to book the green for the whole day in future, it will enable us to reinstate the popular children's disco, which many people asked for.
The amount of money raised for local charities on the day is, so far, £2,117.17.
Without all the generous people who came to support us, it would not have been such a success.
-Penny Keen, chairwoman, Broadwater Carnival Society
