Councillor Leslie Hamilton says the West Sussex sign on the A27 is in the wrong place (The Argus, July 25) but at least West Sussex County Council put up a sign to welcome people.
I have been trying for years to get Brighton and Hove City Council to put a welcome sign on the other side of this road.
I appreciate most locals are aware that the pylons on the A23 mark the entrance to the city. But there is no welcome sign there although there is a large "welcome to West Sussex" sign on the other side.
