A number of letter writers to The Argus appear surprised by the position and scale of proposed developments to the north, east and west of the city.

Perhaps we should count our blessings that, so far, no building proposals have been submitted for the immediate south.

Given that £2 billion-worth of development is proposed during the next eight years (The Argus, November 7), the existing and recent proposals should be regarded as the tip of the iceberg. At least they give some idea of what the iceberg might look like.
