Brighton and Hove City Council's decision to reject the over-development of Brighton Marina is welcomed by all the residents on or near the site.

The waste in cost and time has been enormous.

Opposing the scheme fell to a handful of people who worked relentlessly for months against it.

I would particularly like to thank Derek Granger, Derek De Young and David Morris of the Kemp Town Society, whose efforts have been tireless.

The residents of Kemp Town Estate are very grateful. Thank you, gentlemen.
