I become less than trusting when health "experts" use words such as "choice" (The Argus, Nov 11).

I become even less trusting and confused, when words such as "health" and "trust" are also used in the same breath, as a recent headline - Ailing services can and will be restored to full health if we work together (The Argus, November 12) read.

That said, may I put in a good word for Bridget Mguni, public health specialist for Adur, Arun and Worthing Primary Care Trust in Goring, and N Wijayaweera, staff surgeon for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, in Crawley?

The funding to attend the link programme for deaf people, in Eastbourne last week, was made possible by them.

Healthcare provided by central and local government has recently come in for criticism by taxpayers, with good reason.

But this deafened taxpayer would like to thank these two people for their support and help, without which, I would never have been able to attend.

The link programme, organised by the Link Centre in Eastbourne is invaluable.
