Brian Talbot has targetted Eastbourne Borough striker Yemi Odubade as the man to solve Oxford United's problems in front of goal.
Oxford boss Talbot held talks with Borough manager Garry Wilson about the prospect of taking Odubade on trial following Wednesday night's FA Cup clash between the two sides.
The former Yeovil Town striker was in scintilating form as Borough went down 3-0 at the Kassam Stadium and Talbot believes he could transform an Oxford attack which has failed to score in the last four League Two games.
Odubade, who has a year left on his contract at Borough, said: "It is flattering that someone like him (Talbot) has shown an interest in me but at the moment I am just trying to concentrate on doing well for Eastbourne.
"I want to get back into full-time football but it has got to be the right place at the right time. I am quite settled at Eastbourne so I don't want to rush into anything but sometimes you've got to grab these kind of opportunities when they come along."
Wilson added: "We would love to keep hold of Yemi but we wouldn't stand in his way."
