I have been a Whitehawk resident all my life and felt quite offended when a resident of Lewes Crescent felt they had the right to write in on the behalf of all the residents surrounding Brighton Marina (Letters, November 15).
I for one am disappointed the plans for a new development have been rejected. People do not seem to have taken into account the number of jobs which would have been created by the building and the much-needed housing which would have been created in our up-and-coming city.
Wake up and smell the coffee. If you don't want to see buildings being erected in the area you live, don't live somewhere like Brighton. Property development is going to be happening every day for a long time to come.
