I was dismayed to learn that all the MPs for Brighton and Hove voted with other Sussex Labour MPs in favour of the policy allowing police to detain suspected terrorists for 90 days without charge, which was fortunately rejected by Parliament.
Aren't these same Labour MPs supporting the expensive, intrusive and fallible ID scheme?
It's a very strange turnaround when we have to rely on the Conservative Party to oppose serious infringements of our civil liberties.
