Two months ago, I started doing my bit to clean up Brighton's streets of unwanted litter, such as all the rubber bands that are dropped by postal workers.
On my travels I find about 20 per day, which I am now using to make a rubber band ball.
It grows day by day and is now four inches in diameter. I just wonder if anybody else is doing this as they are getting harder to find.
How much must this wastage be costing the Royal Mail every year? Why can't they be re-used instead of just throwing them away?
