I have worked at Brighton Marina since 1978 and know its history.
Regarding the rejection of the recent development plans submitted by Andrew Goodall, it's almost criminal that another opportunity has been let go with no consideration for local business.
We employ about 45 to 50 local Whitehawk people and we could have offered more opportunities to the unemployed had this project gone ahead.
It seems we are yet again stuck in the muddy pool of indecision and lack of foresight.
Why is no one brave enough to say yes? Everyone is scared of making a wrong decision and upsetting someone.
Saying no is always the safe option but people are never remembered for playing it safe.
And in the same edition of The Argus there are complaints about housing shortages. I just don't understand!
