The Saw Doctors throw the kind of hooley everyone wants an invite to.
Even the grumpiest partypooper couldn't help being drawn in by the footstomping, arm-waving, sing-a-long feelgood factor the boys pump out by the bucket load.
"Expect the unexpected," Davy Carton warned as the band arrived on stage to the theme tune to Tales Of The Unexpected.
And they didn't disappoint. As well as old friends such as N17 and I Useta Love Her and songs from new album The Cure, they weaved in tongue-in-cheek samples of the Pussycat Dolls.
"Don't you wish your boyfriend was old like me? Don't you wish your boyfriend was bald like me?" they asked.
The audience wouldn't have cared if they had been bald, toothless or smelt like a Galway bog.
Their Irish eyes were smiling when they arrived on stage and they were positively grinning as they left. Great craic.
