The Brighton and Hove City Mission sincerely hopes the Boys Brigade is successful in finding new accommodation before the London Road Methodist Church closes in April (Letters, December 5).
We were grateful for the kind offer to share the Brigade's premises six years ago.
As a result, we have been able to expand our work, including the City Mission Basics Bank, which helps the needy and vulnerable in the city.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the London Road Methodist Church, initially for letting us share with the Boys Brigade and for its support and encouragement.
We would also like to thank the other churches, schools, organisations and people for generously supporting our Christmas Cheer programme, which made a difference to many families.
Thankfully, we have been kindly offered accommodation by the nearby Cavalry Evangelical Church and are sure local Christians will not see the Boys Brigade without a headquarters from which to carry on its valuable work.
-Tony Smith, Brighton and Hove City Mission, Brighton
