The Horsham players and manager John Maggs were literally rocking after their goalless draw at fellow promotion chasers Dover Athletic in division one.

The travelling supporters started shaking the team bus in celebration as it left the Crabble and with some justification.

Boss John Maggs said: "I'm pleased with the result and the nature of our performance.

"It was a battle but I felt we shaded the game on chances and all credit to the players for bouncing back after the heavy defeat against Tooting last week.

"If the ball had run for us I think we could have been the first team to win there in the league this season so it's happy days."

Matt Geard and Gary Charman went closest to stealing all three points for table-topping Hornets.

Duncan McArthur's brace and a goal from teenager Sam Adams gave Hastings United a 3-0 victory over Corinthian Casuals at the Pilot Field.

Burgess Hill eased their relegation worries after goals from Luke Gedling and Ashley Jarvis secured a 2-0 home win over Dulwich Hamlet.

In the premier division, Worthing lost 2-1 at Windsor & Eton despite a second-half goal from Richard Pacquette.
